Banita Khosla
After completing my law degree, I secured a position in a private client firm, where I was responsible for drafting wills, powers of attorney and handling probate cases. This experience emphasised the importance of client care, particularly during sensitive and challenging periods in individuals’ lives.
I joined MDS in 2016 and have supported the organisation through significant development and growth. I undertook my LPC whilst working full-time and qualified as a Solicitor in 2019.
Since then, I have enjoyed advising clients on a range of matters, from employment issues, clinical negligence claims, inquests and professional discipline cases. I have a specific interest in MHPS investigations and disciplinary proceedings, and have represented clients facing a range of concerns, from clinical deficiencies to sexually motivated misconduct.
I also have had the opportunity to work on several high-profile cases during my time at MDS, which was
exciting, but have found the most rewarding cases to be the ones where I have made a real difference to the client’s life.
Outside of work, I utilise my negotiation skills with my children! I love travelling and exploring new places. I enjoy reading – favourite genre is feminist literature, though my most read books are now The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Elmer.
