Linda Ware

I joined MDS in 2014 during its first year,  in what felt like one of those “meant to be” moments. This role was the perfect opportunity for me to bring together my extensive public sector experience and assist our members with their queries. From the early days, when MDS was a small team of just four employees, it has always felt like home. That sense of belonging has only strengthened as we’ve grown. Now, as the Company HR Manager, I’m excited to support MDS as we continue to grow. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I can’t wait to see what the next decade holds.

With a strong background in the public sector, my career began in the Women’s Royal Naval Service before transitioning to the NHS, where I’ve worked for over 30 years. My NHS journey started as a ward clerk, then progressed into HR at a District General Hospital, where I earned my degree in Human Resource Management.

After a period working at BMA Cymru Wales, I led a team focused on Junior Doctors’ working time and conditions within the Welsh Government’s Health Department. I briefly stepped away from the NHS to take on a role with my local Member of Parliament, which gave me valuable insights into a different aspect of public service.

Outside of work, I’ve been happily married for 35 years and have a grown-up son. I’m an avid supporter of Liverpool FC and Bath Rugby, love watching classic films, and am currently learning astrology.
